For over 45 years Reach Dane (Formerly Dane County Parent Council) has firmly established its credibility as a well functioning, stable organization that is a leader in the community and state in providing programming for children and families. DCPC is a community-based, private non-profit umbrella agency for the delivery of child development and family support programming that is designed to enhance the well-being and future success of participants. DCPC has become the largest provider of both preschool and infant/toddler programming in this area of the State of Wisconsin. Dane County Parent Council is the grantee for Head Start and Early Head Start in Dane and Green Counties in Wisconsin. We serve children and their families at 14 centers in Dane County and 1 in Green County, approximately 1,100 children total. Our programming includes children from birth to 5 years of age. Our agency provides quality early childhood education for children and supports families beyond the classroom. Our Family Advocates work with the parents of children birth to 3 years of age. Family Outreach Workers support our parents with 3 to 5 year old children. In this way our agency can make a greater positive impact on our children and families lives. Our Head Start Policy Committee is made of parents; parents have an active voice and role in Dane County Parent Council.
