Repro Rights Wisconsin

Repro Rights Wisconsin is dedicated to responding to the need of Wisconsin for bodily autonomy and continued care. We are a pro-choice organization who helps as we can to aid in reforming our laws and healthcare so that people can have their voice in the doctors office when it comes to their reproductive care. We are a LGBTQ+ and PoC founded organization that focuses on making sure that the voices of the marginalized communities don't get washed out from people of the dominate class when it comes to their health. This organization recognizes that PoC have been not only dismissed when it comes to their pain and symptoms since the very start and persists to today but we also acknowledge that people of color are targets of eugenics in the health field. It is still a common practice for people of color to end up sterilized without their consent when under anesthesia for a variety of different reasons. We aim to change laws that help protect people's right to their choices, their privacy, and people's right to consent. We also recognize what is commonly referred to as people of color as the global majority. As such we aim to change the language when refer to oppressed groups to further acknowledge that non-white individuals are part of a larger collective that greatly outweighs the white community in terms of numbers. In doing so we hope to unify the global majority here in Wisconsin in a push back against the oppressions and systematic racism faced by every person in the larger community. We seek to aid in an end to abusive practices of the global majority in the health field as well as being part of the continued fight for everyone's choice of when, and if, to become a parent.

We organize, around the state, rallies, marches, and informational speak outs at the current as our main function. We at every chance we get we get involved with reform processes and work on bill proposals to reform healthcare and reproductive healthcare in Wisconsin. As part of our larger organizations function we take Repro Rights Wisconsin across the state to help people get attention to their rallies, marches, speak outs, and all forms of organizing for reproductive reform in Wisconsin. Our work links us to the action and the action to us. Not just us as an organization either, we are forming this network for all Wisconsinites. As such we also help organize carpools, financial co-op, and when we can we intend to help people with more then just knowing their resources, but to aid them in accessing that resource.
