FRN-Madison is dedicated to reducing food waste and food insecurity right here in Madison. We work deeply with our community and local businesses to gather food excess that would have been wasted, and turn it into a nutritious meal. Some of our typical food partners include dining halls, dining markets, feed kitchens, local farmers, and grocery stores. We are a medium size team of about 12 students from all grades and majors. We all share two things in common, a passion for serving our community and helping the environment.
What We Do
FRN-Madison provides a free, buffet-style meal twice a week to the community and students. We recieve donated food and ingredients from the community and follow strict food safety guidelines to cook and serve the food. We strive to provide a balanced meal each time with all food groups, vegetarian and vegan options.
