The Madison Area Master Gardeners Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization founded in 1986 whose members are graduates or students of Master Gardener training through the University of Wisconsin Extension or in other states.
MAMGA is committed to nurturing a fellowship of master gardeners who cultivate a greener, healthier, more resilient environment through education, volunteerism, community support and partnerships. MAMGA envisions a community where gardening enriches lives, fosters sustainability, and strengthens connections between people and nature.
What We Do
We offer volunteer opportunities throughout Dane County. See
https://www.mamgawi.org/mamga-signature-project for information. Our projects at the City County Building includes yearly design and installation of garden beds under the expert guidance of a Master Gardener, as well as care of the terrace beds which are planted with pollinator supporting perennials, including native plants. We also offer community grants to school PTO and nonprofit gardens throughout Dane County. See out website for details.
