Sojourner Family Peace Center

Sojourner, located in the Family Peace Center, is Milwaukee's largest domestic violence service provider. We offer crisis housing, systems advocacy, and individual support to people and families impacted by violence.

Our mission is to transform lives impacted by domestic violence. Sojourner operates a 24-hour crisis hotline and textline and a 53-bed shelter for individuals and families experiencing violence. We also offer systems advocacy through the Restraining Order Clinic located in the Milwaukee Courthouse and through advocates stationed in each police district. Sojourner supports individuals and families through our Children's Programming, support groups, and Hope and Healing workshops, all of which facilitate healing and help domestic violence survivors build a new life. The Family Peace Center is a newer building that co-locates many of the Milwaukee organizations serving domestic violence survivors under one roof in order to serve our clients more efficiently.
