Sharing Resources Worldwide was founded in 2002 by Lisa Fernandez, RN, and Mary Dowling, RN, to bring much-needed health care to children worldwide. SRW continues today, with our medical teams, to deliver care in areas where there is great need. Our cause lives on as we have no paid staff but dedicated and generous volunteers -- qualified medical professionals who pay their own expenses to travel with our teams and work closely with local medical personnel and community volunteers in other countries to deliver surgical care. There is zero cost to the person receiving the services.
What We Do
Sharing Resources Worldwide (SRW) endeavors to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged populations around the world. By organizing and supporting medical teams, SRW provides surgical, medical, and eye care for disadvantaged people. When possible, SRW will work closely with in-country partners to deliver these kinds of care. SRW's primary concern is meeting the needs of children 18 years old and younger.
