Madison Waldorf School

Who We Are

Madison Waldorf school was founded in 2008 by a core group of families and teachers dedicated to Waldorf principles with a Kindergarten and a combined 1st and second grade. We are part of a rapidly growing international community of over 1,000 Waldorf schools around the world with whom we share a pedagogical philosophy, instructional methodology, and core curriculum. The Waldorf educational philosophy is committed to nurturing the whole human. Our curriculum integrates arts and movement with an intellectually rigorous academic education to foster artistic expression, critical thinking, problem solving, athletic judgment, and sound intellectual reasoning. Waldorf pedagogy nurtures healthy emotional development by conveying knowledge experientially as well as academically. The belief that education is an uplifting process is central to the Waldorf philosophy. Our first class graduated from our school in May, 2014. Today, our school has grown to over 87 students serving children from the preschool years through middle school.
