Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison

The Ronald McDonald House opened it's doors on May 23, 1993, and the first family checked in on May 28, 1993. The community raised over $2 million to open the House debt-free. Donations of money, materials, food, time and the ongoing support of volunteers are essential to our mission. It is only through community support that RMHC-Madison can continue to help kids heal and keep kids healthy. The newly expanded and remodeled Ronald McDonald House as of 2019, is located at 2716 Marshall Court on Madison's near-west side. Up to 31 families can stay at the House at a time. Families are referred to the Ronald McDonald House from Madison hospitals and health care facilities. The House provides many common areas: a gathering room to watch tv and play games, a campground themed playroom, game room, outdoor play area, quiet study, sunporch, kitchen & dining room as well as a laundry room. A House van transports families without transportation to and from Madison hospitals and clinics. RMHC serves families living 35+ miles from the House, whose children (18 and under) are undergoing treatment at Madison area health care facilities. We provide services for families throughout the Midwest, states beyond the region as well as families from other countries.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison, Inc. (RMHC-Madison) is dedicated to advancing the well-being and health of children by providing temporary lodging and services for families whose children are undergoing treatment at local health care facilities.
