Catholic Charities provides a broad array of social services in Southern Wisconsin, regardless
of faith or background. We do this by delivering programs to those most in need across an 11-county region, including those experiencing the challenges of poverty, homelessness, disabilities, aging, addiction, health and wellbeing, and food insecurity.
Our services include:
AGING SERVICES
- Adult Day Center - The Catholic Charities Adult Day Center provides daytime,
community-based services for adults who are in need of quality care in a safe
and supportive setting. Services are
designed to maintain or improve social, psychological, or physical functioning
and enable an individual to remain living in the community.
- All Saints Neighborhood - Aging-in-place living options for people age 55+. Apartments, condos, and cottages for active seniors; assisted living and memory care facilities for those who need more support or a nurse on-call 24/7.
CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES
- Building Bridges - Provides crisis stabilization and prevention services
to students in grades 4K-9 with immediate mental health needs as well as their family
and their school team. The program is available in nine school districts in Dane County.
- Parish School Counseling - Parish
School Counseling provides supportive counseling, guidance classes, and
consultation at the Catholic school contracting the service.
DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITY SERVICES
- Community Connections - Community Connections provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
who reside in Rock County the opportunity for daily community integration and
meaningful activity, both in the community and at the program facility.
- Community Living - The Community Living Program provides residential services to adults
with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Marquette and
Green Lake Counties.
RESTORING LIVES
- 5 Door Recovery - 5 Door Recovery
provides a medically monitored 20 bed Community-Based Residential Facility in
Madison for adults with severe substance use disorders with co-occurring mental
health issues.
- The Beacon - The Beacon is a daytime shelter and resource center operated by Catholic Charities to help men, women, and children who are experiencing homelessness in Dane County, Wisconsin. Our goal is to support and empower those in need, offering a safe space and access to essential resources.
PARISH SOCIAL MINISTRIES
- Parish Mobile Food Pantry - A collaborative
effort between Catholic Charities, Catholic parishes, and Second Harvest Food
Bank of Wisconsin to serve rural communities which normally do not have access to larger food pantries.
- Care Team Ministry - Congregation-based teams offer respite, in-home support, and an array of non-medical service to aging persons and their caregivers.
- Walking With Moms - Walking with Moms helps Catholic parishes support pregnant and parenting women in difficult situations by providing authentic Christian friendship and connections to local resources. The ministry also supports dads and families.
