What We Do

Mission: The mission of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to prevent kidney and urinary tract diseases, improve the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by these diseases and increase the availability of all organs for transplantation. Vision: The vision of the National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is to be the leading public health resource on kidney health in Wisconsin and to reduce the impact of chronic kidney disease (CKD) on those who are at-risk or affected by CKD. Strategic Goals: The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) is committed to: Promote the identification of and impact the health of individuals who are at-risk for chronic kidney disease. Enhance the medical, self-management and health advocacy behaviors of individuals with CKD. Engage in change initiatives that support kidney health, organ donation, and early transplantation and/or elevate kidney disease as a public health concern. Raise sufficient funds to ensure growth of the NKFW.
