Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired

Established in 1952, the Council was founded to advocate for the rights of individuals who are blind or low vision. Our services have expanded to provide assistive technology education, vision rehabilitation, low vision evaluations, adaptive products, scholarships, and education. By providing powerful tools for independence and empowerment, the Council helps improve the quality of life for people with vision loss.
We empower the people of Wisconsin who are blind or low vision to live their best life by advocating legislation, providing vision services, and educating the public.
