Volunteer: Shelter Relief WorkerThe morning volunteers are often the first interaction a client has each morning. As folks wake up in the shelter and prepare to start their day, it can be filled with a lot of stress and apprehension. A warm smile and light conversation as food and coffee are served can set an individual on the right track to leave the shelter motivated to take the steps necessary to move towards self-sufficiency. Join our team of volunteers sharing their compassion and encouragement with families and individuals as they start their day. Hours of Operation: Tuesday or Wednesday 6:30 am to 8:00 am Volunteers are asked to complete a volunteer application, background check, and Safe from Harm training prior to starting with The Salvation Army.
