Opportunities From: United Way of Dane County

We need volunteers to help distribute lunches to youth and their families in nine different northside neighborhoods as well as several south side east side neighborhoods.  There is room for one volunteer to ride along in the MUNCH van, but we also need a volunteer to follow the van driving their personal vehicle.

Volunteers needed:

Monday through Friday

afternoon/early evening

NOTE:  Minimum age is 16.

Help us prepare meals to send home with the families that shop at our pantry!   The meals are prepared onsite by our chefs with the help of many wonderful volunteers. They are safely stored, and then they are sent home with the clients with reheating instructions so that they can be enjoyed as family meals in the home. We need help with meal prep (and occasionally distributions as well) during the following times:

The River is the largest and busiest food pantry in Dane County, serving over 2,000 individuals each week through our combined programs.

We are distributing groceries via drive-thru at our facility.  We need volunteers to help fill orders for clients as they drive through our pantry and load groceries into the clients' cars.  (Mondays would be sorting and packing boxes only - no distribution.)
