Opportunities From: United Way of Dane County

The Urban League of Greater Madison is looking for at least 15 volunteers to help us prepare for one of the most anticipated community events of the summer - the 12th Annual Unity Picnic, happening Saturday, July 25, 2026 at our South Park Street Central Office.

We need helping hands to assist with event setup for both our VIP Reception and the general picnic celebration. Volunteers will help with:

Setting up and moving tents

Arranging folding tables and chairs

Placing signage and decorations

Assisting with prep for the VIP reception

Some volunteers may also be asked to support early needs during the VIP event.

Available Shifts:
Friday, July 24 - Prior Day Setup
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Saturday, July 25 - VIP Reception Setup
8:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Saturday, July 25 - General Picnic Setup
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This family-friendly event brings together thousands of community members for a day of celebration-and we need your help to make sure we leave the space just as beautiful as we found it.

Volunteer Tasks Include:

Breaking down tables, chairs, and tents

Packing up supplies and materials

Assisting vendors and activity stations with tear-down

Collecting trash and ensuring the grounds are clean
