Volunteer: SET UP Volunteers Needed for The Urban League's 12th Annual Unity Picnic

The Urban League of Greater Madison is looking for at least 15 volunteers to help us prepare for one of the most anticipated community events of the summer - the 12th Annual Unity Picnic, happening Saturday, July 25, 2026 at our South Park Street Central Office.

We need helping hands to assist with event setup for both our VIP Reception and the general picnic celebration. Volunteers will help with:

Setting up and moving tents

Arranging folding tables and chairs

Placing signage and decorations

Assisting with prep for the VIP reception

Some volunteers may also be asked to support early needs during the VIP event.

Friday, July 24 - Prior Day Setup
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM

Volunteer: Schools of Hope Tutoring Program - O'Keeffe Middle School

Schools of Hope is one of the largest and most successful community-based tutoring programs in Wisconsin. We are dedicated to empowering youth by providing educational support through tutoring and mentorship. We focus on the essential math and literacy skills necessary to ensure all students are high school, college, and community ready. This volunteer role primarily supports students of color and those from low-income backgrounds. Our volunteers are instrumental in helping students overcome academic challenges to reach their full potential.
