Description:
- Work collaboratively with teammates to make decisions, consult as a language expert for assist with translation.
- Interpret/Translate with the support of Reach Dane/Reach Green employees to enrolled families
- Communicate with staff regarding availability, team decisions and assignments.
- Collaborate in a respectful manner.
- Replying to emails and messages from teammates in a timely fashion and participating in team discussions.
- Accurate interpretation/translation without personal additions to the communication
Performance Requirements:
- Proficiency in at least one language, as well as in English. Near-native fluency in the target language required.
- Reliability in making scheduled meetings and deadlines.
- Transparency and availability when assessing and communicating with Translation staffers in regard to progress on assigned tasks and projects.
- Willingness to receive training in and adopt Translation processes and tools, and to learn new skills that may be necessary for fuller participation in the committee.
- Ability to work successfully alone and with other volunteers and Reach Dane and Reach Green employees toward shared goals.
- Willingness to receive and review criticism and corrections.
- Maintain confidentiality of the families.
- Relationship based approach to serving families.
