Pet Visitor volunteers with well-behaved, sociable pets are needed to bring their pets in and visit with residents in Oakwood Village University Woods Retirement Community's assisted living, memory care and/or skilled nursing.
Committed and dependable persons need to get registered and volunteer a minimum of 6 months. Registration includes getting 2 required TB tests 2 weeks in a row. Additional information will be given and scheduling arranged between volunteers and the Life Enrichment staff for volunteer service set-up. Potential volunteers need well-behaved, sociable pets and ability to keep their pet under control when visiting. Potential volunteers also need good social skills to be courteous and respectful to residents and others when visiting.
