Description

FoodBridge delivery volunteers help reduce food insecurity by delivering groceries from local food pantries to older adults who face barriers such as limited mobility, health challenges, or lack of transportation. This support helps clients access consistent food while remaining in their homes.

Volunteers are matched with one to three older adults and typically deliver from a specific food pantry on an ongoing basis. Delivery schedules are coordinated directly between the volunteer and the older adult, allowing for flexibility and reliability. NewBridge staff provide guidance and are available for support as needed. For many clients, these regular deliveries offer more than food. Seeing a familiar face and knowing someone will show up provides reassurance, stability, and a meaningful connection to the community
