The Goodman Community Center and Girl's Inc. of Greater Madison seeks volunteer Spanish translators to help translate program materials from English to Spanish.
Girls Inc. of Greater Madison (GIGM) is excited to offer FREE two-week Summer Adventure camps for middle- and high-school girls, female identifying students and non-binary students. Our camps will focus on outdoor adventure, health and wellness. We'll be implementing Girls Inc. National's research-based curriculum, Girls enCourage. Girls enCourage is designed to sustain girls’ interest in sports through adolescence by introducing them to nontraditional activities and adventures that go beyond stereotypes and challenge them to set their own personal goals and create their own definitions of success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately transcribe enrollment forms and program materials from English to Spanish
- Communicate with Goodman staff members on progress
Time Commitment:
- Flexible with your schedule
- Hours negotiable depending on what you have to give
- This role also has the potential to become an ongoing volunteer role with the Goodman Community Center
- Ideally finish translations by 5/21/21
Qualifications:
- Native or Full Professional Proficiency in Spanish
- Open and adaptable to feedback
