Help Goodman Center's Fritz Food Pantry add to our shelves from the annual US Postal Service Mail Carriers food drive. Each year mail carriers collect items from homes and deliver them to the Hilldale Post Office. They expect to collect between 15,000 - 20,000 lbs. of non-perishable food! This year the collection will be split between the River Food Pantry and Goodman's pantry.
Volunteers can help in two ways during these shifts: 1:30 - 3:45 pm; 3:30 - 5:45 pm; 5;30 - 8:00 pm
- Pick up food from the Hilldale Post office and deliver to the Goodman Center (personal vehicle required) OR
- Receive the food at Goodman and help organize it to share with pantry customers.
Personal vehicles that could easily fit between 5-9 boxes of food are preferred.
Volunteers must be able to lift heavy boxes and sort through donated items. Goodman staff will work alongside volunteers at both locations.
