COMMITMENT This position has flexible hours and we will work with your schedule. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Performed installations and configuration of Windows XP. Maintain Computer Lab printer. (Change toner cartridges, refill paper, clean, etc.) Clean and maintain computer systems and their ancillary parts. In this role, volunteers will help cultivate grounds that are well-cared for and welcoming. Volunteers who enjoy being outdoors, working with their hands, and being creative will thrive in this role. COMMITMENT This position has flexible hours and we will work with your schedule. Having one consistent day/time per week to assist in the gardens is preferred. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform gardening duties including weeding, digging, pruning, planting, sweeping paths, poisoning weeds, cleaning, general repairs and ad hoc duties as assigned. Help maintain the gardens and grounds in a good condition together with various displays of plants. Assist with planning and development of garden and grounds. Maintain herb garden and harvest herbs when ready. Optional: assist with recruiting volunteers to the Garden Team. Optional: assist with outreach to local nurseries and businesses to obtain flowers and plants.

We are looking for volunteers to help pick up large donations from our business donors twice a month. Volunteers use their own vehicles to pick up donated items. Shifts areas follows: Mondays from 12:45 PM - 2:00 PM from Willy Street Co-Op West. Tuesdays from 12:45 PM - 2:00 PM from Whole Foods on University Avenue. Fridays from 12:45 PM - 2:00 PM from Whole Foods on University Avenue.Volunteers are responsible for the physical task of loading donated items into crates (provided by the LCEC), lifting those crates into vehicles, and unloading crates from vehicles and into the LCEC (using carts w/ wheels). This is a physically demanding position and we ask volunteers to be mindful of their bodies, as well as their ability to lift and twist. Volunteers in this role are very important, as we are able to secure thousands of pounds of organic and nutritious items for our pantry shoppers each week. This position is ideal for someone who is physically able to lift, has a large vehicle or hatch back, and wants to make a huge difference by volunteering their time.
