Van drivers also run errands for the House such as grocery shopping, donation pick-ups, and putting gas in the van. We are looking for weekly volunteers for weekend and weekday shifts on an on-call as needed basis. RESTRICTIONS: Volunteer drivers must be 21 years of age or older, have a valid driver's license with a good record and be in good general health. Volunteers must be dependable, flexible, independent and friendly. Volunteer van drivers are required to participate in New Volunteer Training to familiarize themselves with RMHC and its mission, as well as van policies and procedures. Groups plan a menu to feed 35 guests, purchase ingredients and prepare the meal in our commercial-grade kitchen. Volunteer groups are responsible for bringing most food supplies to prepare the meal. Group size is limited to 8 people. All volunteers must be 10+ years old. Please arrive no later than 4:00 p.m. so dinner will be ready for families by 6:00 p.m.
