Opportunities From: United Way of Dane County

Volunteer: Foreign language event staff

We occasionally get potential adopters and visitors that don't speak English fluently. We'd love to have help from volunteers who speak a foreign language to help us accommodate those visitors. We have the most need for Spanish speakers, but all languages are welcome!

Volunteer: Carestaff for shelter cats

Help us care for the cats in our shelter while they await their permanent homes.  Carestaff volunteers help maintain a healthy environment for our cats by providing food, water, clean litterboxes and bedding, as well as some socialization.  Each shift takes about an hour and also includes help with laundry, washing dishes, and light cleaning of our shelter.  We need regular volunteers to commit to weekly or bi-weekly shifts, as well as substitute carestaff to help fill vacancies.  Training is provided.  Come join our team!
