Volunteer: Lead Chinese Mahjong

Volunteer would lead program, which includes setting up/picking up game, and provide game support and/or play as needed. 

This opportunity would have you working with resident(s) in our independent living. This could happen as often as weekly, biweekly, or monthly due to volunteer and resident(s) availability. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Patience with, interest in, and ability to relate well to older adults

2. Knowledge of Chinese Mahjong

3. Good social and organizational skills

4. Helpful to have understanding of low vision, hard of hearing, and memory loss. 

 

Volunteer would need to complete Oakwood's registration process including background check and 2-step TB testing.

This opportunity would have you working with residents in our assisted living, the Rise. This would be a twice a month opportunity on Wednesdays at 1:15pm - 3:15pm. Life Enrichment staff would train volunteers as necessary. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Patience with, interest in, and ability to relate well to older adults

2. Knowledge of Scrabble

3. Good social and organizational skills

4. Helpful to have understanding of low vision, hard of hearing, and memory loss.
