Mosaicos Cultural Enrichment Corporation

Who We Are

Mosaicos Cultural Enrichment Corporation was created to promote understanding, appreciation, and inclusion through facilitated conversations about diversity throughout our community and to foster academic achievement among underrepresented students by providing them with academic support and mentoring.

Students K through fifth grade go through crucial transformations during their elementary school years as they are introduced to new subjects and learning experiences. Most students can succeed on their own. However, some other students especially those that traditionally comprise underrepresented students (e.g., English language learners, minorities, and students from low-income households) need more than just the teacher in the classroom. Research has affirmed the positive effects of tutoring on the students’ academic achievement. Tutors can give the students the tools they need to overcome challenges, give them the motivation, confidence, and skills to succeed in school and beyond.

What We Do

We are looking for compassionate and committed adult volunteers to serve as tutors at Stoughton Elementary Schools. Tutoring experience is not necessary. We will provide orientation and training. Tutors expend time in the classroom and meet one-on-one or with small groups of students for at least an hour each week. You get to choose the time, grade and subject you feel most comfortable helping with.

By becoming a tutor in our elementary schools you'll make a big positive impact, not only on the child but also on our society.
