Waunakee Neighborhood Connection

Our vision is to have a thriving community where all are valued. Our mission is to provide programs and resources that address social and economic mobility by engaging neighbors in supporting and empowering one another.
The two challenges that we address are: 1) social & economic mobility and 2) community engagement through volunteerism. Our Community Store is a place where those who are experiencing financial hardship can come for free clothing, household goods, toiletries, and cleaning supplies. This is made possible by donations of gently used items from members of the community and new items from our retail partners. Other programs that support our mission include case management & referrals, Build-a-Bed for new mattresses & box springs, holiday wish program, and the Neighbor-to-Neighbor fund for direct financial assistance to households experiencing a short-term unexpected crisis.
Volunteers are the heart of Neighborhood Connection and make our programs and services possible and successful. We strive to provide meaningful opportunities for community members to connect with each other and with those in need to make Waunakee a place where everyone is valued and can thrive.
By volunteering at Neighborhood Connection, you are not just giving of your time, you are:
