Graceful Wakes, Inc.

Purpose. The Corporation shall be operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. More particularly, the Corporation is initially organized for the purposes of: (a) connecting people through sports activities that include, but are not limited to, water skiing; (b) enhancing quality of life through the establishment, administration and promotion of programs to provide adaptive water skiing and water sport equipment and other accommodations to physically and mentally disabled individuals; and (c) promoting physical fitness, healthful recreation and social engagement through the establishment, administration and promotion of programs devoted to the education, training and development of water skiers and water sport athletes. The Corporation shall also be operated, in the discretion of the board of directors, for other charitable or educational activities as the board may deem suitable for the furtherance of the purposes of the Corporation; however, the Corporation shall not engage in activities that are not permitted to be carried on by an organization exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or the corresponding provision(s) of any Wisconsin tax code or successor federal tax code.

Graceful Wakes is a nonprofit organization that puts on adaptative waterski clinics for those with physical and cognitive disabilities. These events predominately focus on serving individuals within the state of Wisconsin, but we have hosted events nationwide. At our events, participants have the opportunity to waterski using a specially designed ski that they can sit in, and the ski can hold the rope for them if they are unable to do so. Participants can also enjoy tubing, pontoon rides, and an overall memorable day by the water.
