Sondercove Foundation is a community-centered nonprofit committed to expanding access to mental health and substance use recovery support. We believe lived experience is expertise and that the people most impacted by systems and barriers should have meaningful opportunities to shape the solutions created for their communities.
Our Foundation brings together lived experience, professional knowledge, and community partnership to create spaces where people feel seen, heard, supported, and connected. We are intentionally building an organization rooted in health equity, peer leadership, cultural responsiveness, and the belief that access to meaningful support should not depend on a person's ability to pay.
What We Do
Sondercove Foundation expands access to mental health and substance use recovery support beyond the limitations of traditional service systems. We create free, peer-led, culturally responsive opportunities for connection, healing, education, and recovery within the community.
Our work centers lived experience and prioritizes individuals and families who may experience barriers to accessing traditional care. Through peer support, community-based programming, partnerships, and advocacy, we work to create welcoming spaces where people can receive support without cost being a barrier.
We believe people with lived experience should not only receive services—they should have meaningful opportunities to shape the programs, conversations, and systems intended to support their communities.
