Friends of the State Street Family

We are a grassroots community of volunteers, donors and neighbors who believe friendship and human connection matter. For 15 years, Friends of the State Street Family has shown up for people experiencing homelessness in Madison with compassion, consistency and respect.

Friends of the State Street Family provides help, hope and friendship to people experiencing homelessness in Madison. Our volunteers bring meals, clothing, essential supplies and genuine human connection directly to our friends on the streets—meeting people where they are and reminding them they are seen, valued and not alone.
