Bayview Community Center

Bayview Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides affordable housing and supportive services to low-income residents. The community is comprised of 73 apartment units and 57 townhouses. Units are 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. Among them, 107 are affordable (Section 8), 13 are tax credit and 10 are market rate units. Bayview also runs a comprehensive community center located in the middle of the housing development.
Bayview is committed to supporting families grow and thrive through quality housing, educational opportunities, access to services and cultural programs.
Bayview was founded with the mission of providing safe, quality housing in conjunction with meaningful programs and services, and the community center is a place where children, adults and families can connect, grow and thrive. The Center provides programs and services that are designed to meet the social, educational, recreational, and cultural needs and interests of the community.
Bayview's Center is best know for its extensive youth programs, including After School and Summer Camp, where more than 150 unduplicated neighborhood youth are served each year. Other programs include: adult and senior wellness, family engagement, early childhood literacy, food access and resource and referral.
Arts and culture programming are a mainstay at Bayview and over the years the Center has initiated several large scale community-based art projects. Visual arts, music, dance, drama and the literary arts grow learning, creativity, collaboration, and engagement, making Bayview and its residents strong.
