Project Linus - Madison Chapter

Who We Are

We are the local chapter of a national non-profit organization that distributes handmade blankets and quilts to organizations that serve children in need and at times of crisis. The Madison chapter distributes approximately 500 blankets a month to local hospitals, foster care, Ronald McDonald House, Domestic Abuse Intervention Services (DAIS) and other special requests.

What We Do

We coordinate the collection and distribution of blankets and quilts to organizations that give them to children. We plan and carry out Make a Blanket days in the community, provide leadership and assistance to organizations and businesses that sponsor an event, and educate individuals and groups about our mission and how they may participate. Volunteers purchase their own supplies, if we are fortunate and receive donations of gift cards, we may be able to help provide materials to those who aren't able  to purchase their own supplies, for example, nursing home residents with little or no on income.
