First United Methodist Church

Who We Are

First United Methodist Church in downtown Madison extends help to people in need through their Hope's Home Ministries focused on helping the homeless and individuals living in poverty. Their history includes being the first church in downtown Madison, Wisconsin and a long history of serving as a place where the homeless feel at home, receive supportive, caring connections and help with food through the Food Pantry and meal programs.

What We Do

Hope's Home Ministries of First United Methodist Church helps neighbors in need with food through the Food Pantry operating three days a week, Community Breakfast on Wednesdays and Community Holiday Meals every Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.

An informal worship and support gathering is held following the Community Breakfast on Wednesdays (9:45 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.). Community Outreach is offered on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. where community partners setup a table to meet with guests and help with a variety of needs.
