On June 8th, Bayview will host a grocery distribution event where residents come and shop for food. About 70-80 families are served each month. We get all our food delivered from Second Harvest Food Bank. Staff and volunteers are responsible for bringing the delivered food into the center, organizing the food, creating delivery bags, set up/clean up and helping residents shop for items. Volunteers must be able to push and pull carts with food, as well as, walk and stand for at least four hours. Because this is such a popular (and extremely well run) program that reaches so many families, it is a great opportunity to meet a lot of people and plug into the unique magic of the Bayview Community.
