Madison Birthday Boost has been bringing birthday joy to kids across Madison and surrounding communities for a year, and we're ready to grow our board as we look ahead to what's next.
We give Madison-area families facing financial hardship complete birthday boxes, presents, cupcakes, decorations, and everything needed to celebrate their child, right here in our own community. Our mission is simple but powerful: helping every local kid feel seen, celebrated, and valued on their birthday, no matter their family's circumstances.
We're looking for thoughtful, community-minded people who care about kids, equity, and making Madison a stronger, more supportive place for families. You don't need to fit one specific role. We'd love to connect with people who bring good ideas, steady support, useful experience, or a heart for service.
What's involved:
- Serve a 2-year board term
- Attend bimonthly board meetings, virtually or in person if you choose
- Serve on at least one committee, such as fundraising, outreach, or operations
- Each quarter, contribute by preparing a birthday box, hosting a volunteer event, or making a $250 donation
- Help guide our programs, partnerships, fundraising, and long-term plans
