On Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, Second Harvest is excited to invite kids and families to participate in a unique volunteer opportunity as part of Global Family Volunteer Day! Family Volunteer Day is an annual day of service that celebrates the power of families who work together to support their neighbors and community and it creates a meaningful quality time for families and builds bonds within their community.
On this special day, Second Harvest is creating a volunteer experience geared towards kids aged 5 - 11. The volunteer experience will include:
- An interactive foodbank tour
- 1 hour of kid-friendly volunteer work
- 1 hour of activities - snack making, book corner, bingo, coloring!
*Please note, this event is geared towards families and we ask organized youth groups and individuals to refrain from registration.
Shift Times (Saturday, November 23rd):
8:30 am - 11:30 am
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
