Position Summary
The Social Media Marketing Coordinator will manage and grow Dane Dances’ social
media presence to promote events, engage the community, and increase
attendance. This role is ideal for a creative, organized individual who enjoys
storytelling, community-focused marketing, and local events.
Key Responsibilities
· Create, schedule, and publish content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and others as needed)
· Promote weekly events, performers, sponsors, and locations
· Engage with followers by responding to comments and messages
· Capture and share photos and short videos at Dane Dances events
· Maintain a consistent brand voice and visual style
· Track basic engagement metrics and suggest improvements
Qualifications
· Experience managing social media accounts for a business, nonprofit, or event
· Strong writing and communication skills
· Basic photography and short-form video skills (phone-based content is acceptable)
· Familiarity with social media scheduling tools
· Interest in music, dance, or community events is a plus
Time Commitment
· Part-time, seasonal (summer)
· Flexible hours with availability during Dane Dances events (Friday nights in August)
Compensation
