Description

Support young artists by volunteering with the Arts + Literature Laboratory Summer Arts Camp. Have fun this summer working with children, as they learn a wide variety of art forms!


Time commitment: One 3-hour shift between 8:30am - 4:30pm, with a minimum commitment of 5 shifts over the summer.


Internship Dates: Available weeks between June 15 - August 21, 2026. Volunteer orientation either June 8th, 9th or 10th. 


About the Role

The Summer Arts Camp Volunteer will provide classroom support for ALL’s summer programming. Choosing between morning and afternoon sessions of arts camps from June 15 through August 21, for ages 7-16. Camps include focuses in a variety of 2D, 3D and digital arts. 


Available Opportunities

• Assist teaching artists with set-up, as needed.

• Greet camp participants, support camper check-in process.

• Provide support to teaching artists throughout camp, working directly with youth

to help with techniques they’re learning that day.

• At close of camp, support camper check-out process.

• At close of camp, work with teaching artist to ensure space is cleaned up. 


Skills

• Desire to support young people in a fun environment 

• Experience working with youth is a plus. 

(Because this position interacts directly with youth campers, chosen candidates must complete a State of Wisconsin background check.)
