Each fall, area grade school students join us for a hands-on program about the amazing world of plants--Wisconsin ecology is the focus. Students benefit from interacting with friendly, engaging volunteers who provide a unique, sensory experience. Explorer School Program is held Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, Oct 1-24. Students are divided into small groups. Volunteers lead an adventure in the gardens; others engage students at learning stations that focus on Wisconsin's Food Chain, Habitats & Adaptation, and Water Cycle. Shifts are 9:30-11:30 am or 12-2:15 pm. Training on the curriculum is scheduled for the morning of Sept 25. Volunteers sign up for a minimum of three shifts over the fall session. Share your love of plants with youth!
