The 2019 Wisconsin event will feature informational sessions for people living with PD and their families, caregivers and health care professionals. In addition to an uplifting keynote speaker and two session tracks and interactive exercise presentations will offer options for everyone from early onset to those with advanced PD. Vendor booths will showcase a diverse array of products and services.
Join us for a couple of hours, or help out all day!
The following roles are available:
- Registration – 4 people – 7:30 – 9:30am
- Help to check in registrants and direct them to restrooms, exhibits, etc.
- Pass out swag bags
- Make attendees feel welcome
- Accept donations (cash, check or credit card)
- May be performed seated. ADA Accessible. May require some writing.
- Room Host – up to 16 people – 2 hr shift between 8:30am – 4pm
- Welcome speaker and ensure they have everything they need
- Interface with venue/APDA staff to troubleshoot
- Answer attendee questions
- Act as mobility assistant for attendees, as needed (e.g. hold/pull out chairs, carry light items, etc.)
- Requires standing and walking unassisted
- Exhibit space host – up to 8 people 2hr shift between 7:30am – 4pm
- Answer attendee questions and provide directions to restrooms, sessions, etc.
- Interface with venue/APDA staff to troubleshoot
- Act as mobility assistant for attendees, as needed (e.g. hold/pull out chairs, carry light items, etc.)
- Requires standing and walking unassisted
- Lunch Host – up to 8 people – 11:45 – 1:30
- Offer mobility assistance to attendees
- Carry lunch items for attendees needing walkers, etc.
- Help attendees navigate lunch buffet
- Make attendees feel welcome and answer any questions
- Requires standing and walking unassisted
- Tear-down/load out – 3 people – 4:00 – 5:00
- Help to tear down displays and pack up materials
- Requires standing and walking unassisted, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
