Up to 40 volunteers are needed to help residents of the Oakwood Village University Woods Retirement Community Nature Preserve Committee clear/remove brush or pull buckthorn on Saturday, Oct. 23 for United Way of Dane County's Seasons of Caring volunteer day.
Volunteers need to help from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on 10/23. Volunteers will need to wear appropriate clothing for outdoor work and the weather, to include wearing sturdy closed-toe shoes, and have physical ability to help resident members with the brush/buckthorn work.
Volunteers that sign up to help with this project will be outdoors, but need to have a mask to wear if they need to go inside to use a restroom.
