We are hosting two SCRATCH computer coding clubs in conjunction with UW computer science department. Graduate students from UW teach upper elementary kids from Lowell Elementary School coding using a program called SCRATCH.
We are looking for a room monitor to keep the kids focused and engaged, support the UW students in their teaching and be a liaison from the classroom to our Elementary Program Leadership staff. The clubs runs from Feb 13 through May 5. No experience with computer coding is necessary, just a desire to support kids and their learning.
Two club sessions:
Tuesdays, Feb 14 - May 2; 2:45 - 4:15 pm
Thursdays, Feb 16 - May 4; 3:45 - 5:15 pm
There will be breaks, March 14/16 and March 27/29, for UW and MMSD Spring Breaks
