Description

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is happening on Saturday, May 13th.  This is the largest single day collection of food both locally and nationwide.

In Dane County, Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin will be the main partner on this drive.  And we also are working with Saint Vincent de Paul who will be providing trucks at two locations in Madison (on the south side and on the isthmus).

We need volunteers to staff those locations in the afternoon from about 1p to 6p.  Minimum two hour shift but entire afternoon is available.  This does involve a lot of lifting (bags of groceries) so please be aware of your physical limitations.  And it takes place no matter what the weather is so plan on dressing accordingly.

If you are available to volunteer that afternoon, please contact AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison Ann McNeary (labor@uwdc.org or call 608-246-4355).  Exact locations and further directions will be provided.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated!
