The Colonial Club Senior Activity Center serves a lunchtime meal on site at the Colonial Club on weekdays to local seniors. We are looking for volunteers interested in helping once a week, twice a week, or on a substitute basis.
These volunteers will be involved in packaging meals for the Meals on Wheels program, assembling lunch items, setting tables, serving meals, general clean up, and washing dishes using a commercial dish machine. Volunteers may be asked to assist with any combination of these tasks.
Shifts will be either 9:00 a.m. (or 10:00) to 12:30 p.m, depending on tasks assigned.
A regular one day weekly commitment is desirable. It is very important for volunteers in this role to commit to his/her scheduled day/time, as volunteer assistance is essential to our being able to serve the on-site meals and to prepare the home delivered meals for local seniors.
Volunteer needs to be comfortable in a standing position.
Volunteers are required to undergo a background check.
